The third phase of the Business Unusual National Challenge — an experimental crowdsourcing initiative — officially ended on July 25, 2013. This initiative involved a month of collaborative idea and inspiration sharing among the 7 Finalist organizations, big thinkers and strategic leaders from inside and outside the arts sector, the ArtsFwd community, and public contributors.
Hundreds of contributors shared their responses to each Finalist’s set of research questions. Their bold suggestions, perspectives, and feedback can be found in the comments sections of the Finalists’ entries, which are listed below. We encourage you to continue to read through the big questions that each Finalist organization posed to “the crowd,” and the exciting dialogues that took place around each of these Challenge projects.
At the end of the crowdsourcing phase, each Finalist wrote a formal proposal to be considered by a panel of experts and EmcArts staff, who determined the Winner of the Challenge.
