ArtsFwd seeks two Blogging Fellows to contribute regular content to the ArtsFwd blog from February 1 to May 31, 2013.

Blogging Fellows will be expected to contribute posts of 500 to 800 words twice monthly for a four-month term for publication on the ArtsFwd blog, an initiative of EmcArts that provides a place for arts leaders to share and learn about innovation and “next practices” in the sector. Fellows will post about topics including organizational innovation, adaptive leadership, and sustainability in the arts, with a focus on models of success.  Fellows will select and edit post ideas in collaboration with the EmcArts staff, thoroughly research their posts, and monitor and respond to comments. Pieces may include analyses of sector trends and current events, interviews with arts leaders and non-arts innovators, book reviews, and roundups of news and events.

Writing for ArtsFwd is an opportunity to help shape the voice of a significant resource for arts practitioners, funders, arts management students, arts academics, bloggers, funders, policy makers, innovation experts and other users. With ArtsFwd, we have begun to cultivate a community of users who share a commitment to organizational innovation in the arts, and who remain curious, open and encouraging of exploration of new ideas.

Our overall aim is to move the dialogue about the vital importance of innovation and adaptive capacities from the margins to the center of discourse about the future of our field.  Since launching in December 2011, ArtsFwd has become a leading source of case studies and analysis on innovation and adaptive change in the arts and has been featured on CreatequityYou’ve Cott Mail, Museum 2.0The Chronicle of PhilanthropyArtsJournal, and the Center for the Future of Museums blog.
